EjOCharge searches for charging stops on demand — only once you actually need one, not for the whole trip in advance. This page walks through the key steps.

Set your preferences in your profile: favorite facilities (e.g. supermarket, café), preferred charging networks, your connector type, and limits for walking distance and detour. EjOCharge uses this automatically for every search — no need to enter it again.
Each chain and charging network has a checkbox before its dots. If it’s off, the chain is treated the same as its parent category (or the network the same as "OK"), and it no longer shows up on its own to adjust during a search. Active chains and providers are always shown; which additional, not-yet-active ones you also see depends on your country selection — that decides which country is used to work out locally common chains and providers, and without one, worldwide frequency applies instead.
Share a place from Apple Maps, or type an address. It stays set until you choose a new one.
By voice or in the app, say roughly how far away you want your next charging stop — an exact number isn’t needed. In the app you also pick the search mode, which is really about how precisely a charger is searched for:
The only mode with real detour calculation: EjOCharge actually routes to the charging stop and back onto your route, and shows you exactly how much of a detour each suggestion means.
No detour calculation here. EjOCharge only checks whether a charger falls within a roughly 10 km-wide corridor around your route — how far off the route you’d actually have to drive isn’t calculated.
No routing here either: EjOCharge simply finds every matching charger within a radius of a single point, independent of your actual route.
Even in the two modes without detour calculation, you’re never left guessing — every charging stop comes with ready-made Google Maps and Apple Maps buttons you can route with directly.
Your destination stays set until you choose a new one or clear it — even on another device once you’re signed in there. For privacy, destination and search data are automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity.
These four Shortcuts are already fully built — just tap "Add" to add them to your Shortcuts app. The first time you use one, it asks once for your token from your profile, then remembers it on your device.
Technically, the Shortcut stores your token in a text file inside the "Shortcuts Data" folder in your iCloud Drive. To do that, you’ll need to grant the Shortcut the relevant permissions the first time it asks. Since all four Shortcuts use that same file, you only need to store the token once — every other Shortcut then finds it there automatically. As with any iOS Shortcut, these are fully transparent: you can open, inspect, and edit them at any time. That makes it easy to, say, hand the destination directly to your own car’s navigation app instead, as long as that app supports being triggered from a Shortcut at all.
